Fruits for Moldova’s Orphans

Early this week Rebbetzin Leah Abelsky got a call from Clara ‘former director’ of an orphanage in Kishinev, Moldova. “The children here have not had fruit in weeks,” they said. Having lost her own parents at a very young age to the Nazis, and determined to change the situation, Rebbetzin Abelsky loaded her car and headed out to make the trip. Arriving with fruit, juice, cookies and other sweets, the children were overjoyed to take part in this special visit and treat.
