Some 2,500 people attended a rally against anti-Semitism in the English city of Manchester Sunday, as British Jews remain concerned over a spike in anti-Jewish hate crimes in the UK.
The Friendship Circle of Cleveland hosted its annual My Walk 4 Friends on Aug. 31 to benefit children with special needs and their families. The two-mile walk along Brainard Road kicked off at 12:15 p.m., starting and ending at the Friendship Circle’s building in Pepper Pike.
Rabbi Zalman Abelsky, Shliach and Chief Rabbi of Kishinev, Moldova passed away on Friday, 29 Sivan, 5774.
He was 87.
Rabbi Abelsky led the rebirth of Judaism and Jewish communal life in Kishinev, the capital of Moldova, which is known as a place of terrible pogroms which were perpetrated against the Jews at the turn of the century.
